Grendel #16, published by Comico in December 1988 (though sometimes cited as January 1988), marks a significant stylistic and narrative shift in the Grendel series. It is the beginning of a two-part story titled “Devil’s Tracks,” and a clear move toward exploring the Grendel mythos outside of the main, linear narrative.
