Story Description:
Following the devastating terrorist attack on Arkham Asylum known as “A-Day,” hundreds of Gotham’s most notorious and dangerous criminals are left dead.
A mysterious benefactor activates a government mandate to form a new, clandestine unit: Task Force Z. This new team’s members are the undead—resurrected with a powerful Lazarus Resin. Their mission is to be the ultimate, expendable “army of the night,” operating in the shadows of Gotham.
To lead this grotesque team, the government recruits Red Hood (Jason Todd)—the one person who knows exactly what it is like to be brutally murdered and then brought back to life. Jason finds himself babysitting a group of zombified supervillains, including heavy hitters like Bane, Man-Bat, The Arkham Knight, Sundowner, and Mr. Bloom.
The volume follows Red Hood as he tries to complete the mission directives while simultaneously unraveling the vast conspiracy and ethical nightmare surrounding Task Force Z’s very creation.
