📖 Synopsis
The series tells the story of Michael Savage, a Vietnam veteran who is transported from Earth to a bizarre, parallel dimension called the Ultra-Realm. The Ultra-Realm is split into two halves: one of eternal light and one of eternal darkness. It is populated by powerful beings who are the embodiments of human emotions and concepts (like Bliss, Rage, War, Greed, etc.).
This final issue, “Blood Red and Devil Black,” brings Michael Savage’s quest to an end:

The Climax: Savage, who has taken over the body of Falkon, the Lord of Bliss, must confront the Dark Lords in a final, climactic battle.

The Stakes: With the balance of the two worlds severely destabilized by the conflict, the fate of both the Ultra-Realm and Earth hangs on the outcome.

The Resolution: Savage (as Falkon) ultimately defeats the primary antagonist and uses his new power to restore the balance, effectively becoming the “Overlord” of the Ultra-Realm.
The series concluded with this issue, though a Lords of the Ultra-Realm Special #1 was published the following year to tie up a few loose ends.
